The poor man had nothing, but a little ewe lamb..
King David not only stole from the poor man, but had him (Uriah) slaughtered too! by this deed, you have shown utter disrespect for the LORD, - 2 Sam 12:3, 14
Saints,
Romans 7:18a tells us: 'For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh;'
Let's do some math. According to the chart below King David was knocking boots with 7 wives, and had 15 sons, and 1 daughter. Most who don't spend time with God would say that was OK for that time. O foolish one, read Deuteronomy 17:17 and pick up a Daily Walk Bible. Study thyself. This was not OK with God.
The poor man had nothing, but a little ewe lamb. King David didn't want accountability with his spiritual leaders, yet he remained accountable with God. I'm not writing this to slam on him, but to let everyone know how weak the flesh is and NO ONE is above God's law. Read Psalm 32
In Closing,
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:7
