James 3:6 (KJV)
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
Precious saints,
What's stirring along this season is simply - let us not slander any. At times could be humorous, yet, let us mature from this. Discipline in life is quite fascinating.
As Jeremiah 2:19 puts it very well - Thine own wickedness shall correct thee...
So be motivated to speak life and know quietness is wisdom.
Psalms 15:1-3 (KJV)
1 LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. 3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
Psalms 24:3-5 (KJV)
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Psalms 34:12-13 (KJV)
12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Psalms 101:5-7 (KJV)
5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry (establish) in my sight.
Proverbs 17:27-28 (KJV)
27 He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.
28 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
Matthew 12:37 (KJV)
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
In Closing,
The Apostle Paul nailed it with the following admonishment to keep us along the journey, surrounded by the ministering angels fighting on our behalf (Hebrews 1:14)
1 Corinthians 10:10-12 (KJV)
10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
...to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God (Psalms 50:23).
