In Luke 11:13 Jesus said...
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
Saints,
It's not often one would recognize oneself as 'being evil'. Yet, honestly, we are. Jesus shares this above and also in Matthew 7:11. Genesis 6:5 and also Romans 8:7 calls our minds hostile towards self and God. And when in times of difficulty, O what is one to do? We would get in trouble by leaning on self (Proverbs 3:5-7, 20:24, Isaiah 50:10-11, Jeremiah 10:23). But, if we lean on Jesus' principles, we'll be OK. The song "Lean On Me" is beautiful, and I'll be a friend to tell you to pick up a Holy Bible and get into a wonderful church filled with imperfection. Folks, like anyone else trying have a neat journey with Jesus. They're not there to judge, condemn, so you don't condemn yourself. For Jesus shares Luke 6:37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
In closing,
1 Corinthians 11:31
For if we would judge ourselves, we would NOT be judged.
