Being Evil

In Luke 11:13 Jesus said...
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Saints,
It's not often one would recognize oneself as 'being evil'.  Yet, honestly, we are.  Jesus shares this above and also in Matthew 7:11.  Genesis 6:5 and also Romans 8:7 calls our minds hostile towards self and God.  And when in times of difficulty, O what is one to do?  We would get in trouble by leaning on self (Proverbs 3:5-7, 20:24, Isaiah 50:10-11, Jeremiah 10:23).  But, if we lean on Jesus' principles, we'll be OK.  The song "Lean On Me" is beautiful, and I'll be a friend to tell you to pick up a Holy Bible and get into a wonderful church filled with imperfection.  Folks, like anyone else trying have a neat journey with Jesus.  They're not there to judge, condemn, so you don't condemn yourself. For Jesus shares Luke 6:37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

In closing,

1 Corinthians 11:31
For if we would judge ourselves, we would NOT be judged.

Deuteronomy 15:7-10 tells us....
“If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, but you shall open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs. Beware lest there be a wicked thought in your heart, saying, ‘The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand,’ and your eye be evil against your poor brother and you give him nothing, and he cry out to the Lord against you, and it become sin among you. 10 You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.

He who gives to the rich, will surely come to poverty.

Angels In The Outfield

Jesus said...
..I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”  Luke 15:10

Saints,
You ever ask why is there is JOY in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents?
Because now the angels are employed to work on your behalf rather than being unemployed collecting a $335 unemployment check.

Once you repent and discover who you are in Jesus Christ. Then you can activate ministering angels to go forth and fight for you.  As Hebrews 13:2 says it best when we take a moment and show hospitality to strangers. O precious angels shall surely bring forth a World Series Title.

Another way for assistance is praying in the spirit (Romans 8:26-28), for we know that ALL THINGS (praying in the spirit) work together for good, Hallelujah!

Romans 8:26-28
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Hebrews 1:14, 13:2
What are all the angels? They are spirits sent to serve those who are going to receive salvation.  Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!

Help Who?

Saints,

Old saying - God helps those who help themselves.
New saying - God helps those who help others.

Ephesians 4:28
He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.

Psalm 112:5, 9
It is well with the man who is generous and lends freely, whose affairs are guided by justice.  He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honor.

Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 (KJV)
Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.  Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

If by charity we trust God with what we have, we put it into good hands against bad times.   -Matthew Henry’s commentary

In closing,
