Ephesians 5:15-18

Ephesians 5:15-18
15 Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

Saints,
Back in the day, Apostle Paul shares that days are evil.  Today with all this technology, we have 1st hand insight of the cruelty locally and around the world.  Understanding the Lord's will is crucial. As 2nd Corinthians 11:3 (KJV), we must not let our minds be led away from the simplicity that is in Christ.  So, take the time to read the Holy Bible! (The Daily Walk Bible)

Psalm 74:20
Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.

Matthew 22:39

Isaiah 48:17
Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.

Saints,
Today's we'll focus on Matthew 22:39. We're not called to be religious nuts but understand a foolproof business model that cannot fail.  God Almighty teaches us to profit.  He may call us to come to the end of ourselves.  Other times, He'll certainly bring us to the end of ourselves, only to birth the miraculous resurrection life of Jesus Christ through us (read Colossians 3:3-4).

Matthew 22:37-40
37Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Matthew Henry's Commentary 1706 shares..
It is prescribed, that we love our neighbour as ourselvesWe must honour and esteem all men, and must wrong and injure none; must have a good will to all, and good wishes for all, and, as we have opportunity, must do good to all. We must love our neighbour as ourselves, as truly and sincerely as we love ourselves, and in the same instances; nay, in many cases we must deny ourselves for the good of our neighbour, and must make ourselves servants to the true welfare of others, and be willing to spend and be spent for them, to lay down our lives for the brethren.

In closing,
As long as we have jobs. Let us always take any portion of our salary and be a gracious blessing to our local communities; to those in need.

Ephesians 4:28
Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.
