Finding Forgiveness, Romans 7:18

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. (KJV)

For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.  (ESV)

For I know that good does not dwell within me, ( but this is in my flesh ), for it is easy for me to delight in the good, but I am unable to perform it. (Aramaic Bible)

Saints,
The Holy Spirit is present.  God forgives and doesn't hold grudges.  He cautions us not to hold a grudge for James 5:9 tells us... Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.  The Holy Spirit is present..  Find forgiveness for...  Peter came to Jesus and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”  Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times sevenTherefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.  Matthew 18:21-23

God settled accounts through Jesus.
Find forgiveness, for the Holy Spirit is present.

From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh...

That ye resist not..

Matthew 5:39 (KJV)
But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Three Christian Principles:
1. Do not retaliate (Mt. 5:39; Rom. 12:14).
2. Do more than required (Mt. 5:40-41).
3. Be kind and generous (Mt. 5:42).
Dake's Annotated Reference Bible.

Romans 12:18-21 (KJV)
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.  19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.  20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.  21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

How is perfection discovered?

All the questions to Jesus:  How is eternal life obtained?
How is perfection discovered?

Matthew 19:21
If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Mark 10:21
One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

Luke 12:33
Sell that ye have, and give alms...

Luke 18:22
Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me

A Watchman for Israel

Ezekiel 3:17-21, 27
“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me. 18 If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. 19 But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul. 20 Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand. 21 But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul.”
27 ..‘Thus says the Lord God.’ He who will hear, let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.

Saints,
In the past, God may have turned a blind eye to some things (Acts 17:30), but to the evil today God nor I can turn a blind eye too.  The injustice committed in Palestine, Israel is no different than the days of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Hosea.  Hard to get past Lamentations chapter 1.  Honestly, it is very difficult to walk on the beach while injustice (robbery) is happening at the jewelry store or Nordstrom or halfway around the world.  Yo, wrong is wrong.   Yet, if the model of stealing is fit for a nation, then whom I to tell the jewelry thief, cut it out.

Then again, for such a time as this, sure I'll be the Watchman for Israel.  I don't have much else to do except read my Daily Walk Bible.  If scriptures teach me how to prosper by charity, then I guess I can tell my fellow man they too can prosper through acts of kindness.  I find it fulfilling being the Watchman for my neighbor and warning them not to steal (Ephesians 4:28) nor treat their fellow man with such ill will.   That's why I published Ecclesiastes 11:2 to strengthen the ignorant, the naive, the scoundrel, the arrogant and whomever will find time to pick up a copy.  At the end of the day, no blood on my hands.  Not many like listening to Ezekiel, and not many will listen to my gracious blog.

Lastly,
If you're a victim of theft.  Then take the act of faith and rejoice. Why?
Jesus made it clear in Luke 6:27-38Give, and it shall be given unto you pressed down, shaken together, running over!
Many televangelist have raped Luke 6:38.  And if you read the paragraph clearly, then you'll surely rejoice with letting go and letting God.
And if you don't want to be a victim of any theft, then honor Exodus 34:22-24.  It's about the Blessings of Passover.  The power of reading and His gracious presence, thank you Jesus!

1 John 1:8-10
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

An Appointment With God

 Saints,

In My Daily Walk Bible I've been reading/listening to for the last 23 years. July ends with Isaiah and August begins with Jeremiah.  And what did I get from today's reading?  Well, I got a whole lot from chapters 11 through 20.  Enjoy reading and be sure to have An Appointment With God everyday!  You'll never regret it!

Jeremiah 13:9-11, 22-27
“Thus says the Lord, ‘Just so will I destroy the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem. 10 This wicked people, who refuse to listen to My words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have gone after other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, let them be just like this waistband which is totally worthless. 11 For as the waistband clings to the waist of a man, so I made the whole household of Israel and the whole household of Judah cling to Me,’ declares the Lord, ‘that they might be for Me a people, for renown, for praise and for glory; but they did not listen.’

“If you say in your heart,
‘Why have these things happened to me?’
Because of the magnitude of your iniquity
Your skirts have been removed
And your heels have been exposed.
23 “Can the Ethiopian change his skin
Or the leopard his spots?
Then you also can do good
Who are accustomed to doing evil.

24 “Therefore I will scatter them like drifting straw
To the desert wind.
25 “This is your lot, the portion measured to you
From Me,” declares the Lord,
“Because you have forgotten Me
And trusted in falsehood.
26 “So I Myself have also stripped your skirts off over your face,
That your shame may be seen.
27 “As for your adulteries and your lustful neighings,
The lewdness of your prostitution
On the hills in the field,
I have seen your abominations.
Woe to you, O Jerusalem!
How long will you remain unclean?”
